Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is finally available, and fans are less than pleased, in fact it seems they’re downright angry.
On the Steam page for the game, we can see right away that it’s sitting at “Mostly Negative” reviews despite only launching today. What could encourage such a swift and visceral response only a few hours after launch? According to gamers who bought the Star Wars: Battlefront collection: it’s broken.
“First hour of launch.
Only have 3 servers to join. Massing about 200 people rounded up. Seriously. Wtf is this? I’ll update this review if I can actually join a lobby.Update: Was only able to join one Hero’s VS Villains match and the Hero’s side was completely broken. No one could join the Hero’s team which resulted in no one to fight against. I figured this may have been just a BF2 issue so I hopped on over to play BF1 multiplayer. There’s 0 servers up for BF1. Wow.”
Other reviews are similar, with players either unable to join matches, or when they can join a match the servers are unstable at best.
“So let me get this straight. You launched this game with only 3 servers on PC knowing full well people only bought it for that sole reason? Peak comedy gold. Easy refund. What a dissapointment.
Update: After 2 hours they finally launched the servers, and they are TERRIBLE. Horrible ping, stuttering, and by tomorrow cheaters will be rampant.”
Of course not every single review is negative, unfortunately it doesn’t look good when the top positive review we found has the disclaimer “Product received for free”
“Dont listen to the negative reviews, the game is not nearly in as bad of a state as they make it out to be, especially bf1.
just wait for some patch updates and youll be fine for bf2.”
Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is available now on Nintendo Switch, Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation, and Xbox.
