Publisher Square Enix and developer tri-Ace shared a new 10-minute trailer for Star Ocean: The Divine Force, introducing new party members battles, and more in the new RPG.

Here’s a rundown on the new characters:

Theo Kremlath (voiced by: Takuya Satou)
Weapon: Halberd (axe spear)

A knight of the Kingdom of Auxidius. He is the eldest son of the king’s younger brother, Ronbert, and is a cousin to Leticia. He is a childhood friend of Leticia and Abelard, and treats them like older brothers. He is also a general in the Auxidius Navy and is well-liked by his subordinates because of his hawkish personality. In Japan, he is caught between his hawkish father, the king, and Letitia, and is torn between the two politically.

JJ (voiced by: Takaya Kuroda)
Weapon: Sword

A swordsman whose entire body is mechanized. He meets Raymond and Leticia during the battle to protect his hometown. He is calm, collected, and fair-minded, and values his friends. He carries a thin-bladed sword and fights with unique swordsmanship.

King Auxidius (voiced by: Hiroshi Shirakuma)

The current king of the Kingdom of Auxidius, which rules the western side of the largest continent on the planet Aster IV. He is Leticia’s father and is always concerned about his daughter’s well-being. He is a man of good character and is trusted by the people, but on the other hand, there are few high-ranking officials he can rely on within the kingdom, and he tends to be swayed by the opinions of the military and the nobility.

Neyan Keizar (voiced by: Yuma Uchida)

Chief of Staff of the Knights of the Kingdom of Auxidius and in charge of maintaining domestic security. He is a patriot who puts the country he serves first, but he also has an inflexible side.

Emperor Boldor (voiced by: Masaki Terasoma)

Emperor of the Empire of Weil. The current emperor of the Weil Empire, a military state that rules the eastern side of the largest continent on the planet Aster IV. He is brave, decisive, and highly charismatic. Unlike his harsh appearance, he is very protective of his empire and its people.

Bennett Moseley (voiced by: Go Shinomiya)

Captain of the battle ship Astoria and Mariel’s superior officer. He has ideas such as expanding the power of the Galactic Federation.

[Fly Around Areas Freely]

In STAR OCEAN THE DIVINE FORCE, characters can freely move in 360° degrees and roam the skies.

[Move and explore freely in three dimensions: everything you see can be explored!]

You can move in three dimensions whilst flying around the largest environment ever. Whether you’re flying around and exploring rockfaces and roofs of buildings in the city, or leaping off cliffs to seamlessly enter battles, you’ll have more freedom in terms of both adventuring and battling.

While the game will give you space to play as you please, the scope of its battles has also evolved. Characters can subdue a large number of enemies with super high-speed movement attacks, special abilities where you can vanish for a brief moment from right in front of your enemies’ eyes, and a skill which could kill in one hit!

This game will feature a challenging yet thrilling battle experience to enjoy while freely soaring in the skies.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is launching October 27th across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
