The new Star Fox title was fully revealed today at Nintendo’s E3 conference, called Star Fox Zero.
The name, which was given the “zero” suffix due to it being neither a remake nor a direct sequel, incorporates both new and old features into the game.
Like Star Fox 2, the Arwing can transform, taking the shape of a two-legged walker that can attack enemies on the ground. It was also said that great care has been taken to free up the buttons this time around, in order to make the controls less cumbersome than what was seen on the N64 version. A special cockpit view is also available now too, with the Wii-U gamepad screen being used to give players this alternate view.
Star Fox Zero should hit the Wii-U this holiday season, and we’ll keep you posted on further details as they come in.
