Stack Up, Steam, and Game Developers Join Forces to Help Veterans

Steam is having a very special free weekend on the eve of Veteran’s Day with the help of Stack Up, Offworld Industries, Periscope Games, and Downpour Interactive.

Stack Up is a charity aimed at helping veterans through the medium of video games. The group and its volunteers send care packages of games and other geeky goodies to military bases across the US, and also provide aid to veterans with PTSD or who are struggling to reintegrate back into civilian life.

Squad by Offworld Industries, Post Scriptum by Periscope Games, and Onward by Downpour Interactive are all free to play this weekend. Each game is also discounted, and a portion of the sales made on each will be donated to Stack Up.

There will be a charity livestream on Sunday from 1 PM to 11 PM Eastern Time as well, which you can learn more about from the above links.

Editor’s Note: Niche Gamer proudly supports our veterans and couldn’t be more thankful for their sacrifice. We have honored them continually with our message of thanks in the footer of our website.
