Square Enix has trademarked “A World of the VERSUS Epic” in Europe. These words have appeared before – at the re-unveiling of Final Fantasy Versus XIII at this year’s Sony E3 presser, the game is now known as Final Fantasy XV.
Tetsuya Nomura is the mastermind and director behind the game and he has hinted at the latest entry into the Final Fantasy franchise is just the first “piece of a larger epic”, which to me screams franchise material. So, don’t start lighting your torches and grabbing your pitchforks when XV-2 and XV-3 are announced.
