It seems like Square Enix is prepping a new version of Star Ocean: The Second Story.
The new version is coming to PlayStation Vita. It’s unclear whether or not this is a full remake or simply a port. However, the report (via Gamestalk) seems to point to it being a full-fledged remake that which will be digital only.
A PlayStation Portable remake of the game was made back in 2008, and that was handled by Japanese developer Tose. The report also indicates that it seems like Tri-ace is handling this new version of the game, further leading us to believe this is indeed a full remake.
This is nice, but hopefully it isn’t the “brand new console RPG” that Square Enix was hyping up last week.
