Square Enix has announced a new third-person, mecha-based shooter dubbed simply “Figureheads.”

Alongside the teaser site, a reveal trailer for the game was also published. The game is a free-to-play shooter for PC, and it seems you’ll be remotely piloting mecha, in a variety of battlefields.

There’s also a peek at how you can customize your pilot, although it’s unclear when, if ever, you’ll be able to play the game through the eyes of your pilot. For now, we’re just getting a look at the 5-on-5 mecha battles.

Further details weren’t confirmed, but we do know that Figureheads will launch some time later this year.
