Square Enix: Release Date of Final Fantasy XV Demo is Unconfirmed

final fantasy xv 09-20-14-1

Well, it seems like the March 17th date for the hotly anticipated Final Fantasy XV demo was a total wash.

The playable demo was confirmed to come with copies of Final Fantasy Type-0, the upcoming remake that is set for the same day on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. When fans asked Square Enix for further confirmation on their official blog, a representative surprisingly denied the date:

The release date of the Final Fantasy XV Demo has not been confirmed and we will announce more details closer to the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. We will try our best to make sure you don’t have to wait long but at the moment we can’t confirm a specific date.

So we’ve reached out to Square Enix for clarification, but for now stay tuned. We’ll keep you guys posted.

… why people miss always simple facts….

They are throwing some bone called Demo not because they are close to finish game….but because they are still far from finishing it.

And even Type-0 was made to be filler that will ease anger of waiting people… yes Type-0 was downgraded from good game to be just simple tool of SE.

Let’s try to think… what would happen if on TGS 2014 they would show just yet another trailer without saying anything important. People would start to doubt that this game will be ever finished.

That’s why they had to give something else… and that’s “demo”… or rather not demo but an announcment of demo (see the difference?). They can’t release that demo the same day they are planning to release Type-0… because even that demo isn’t ready.

It will be good if they will release that game in 2016… 2015 seems really not possible.

Or maybe because they want to sell type-0, and they know that people will rush to buy it if they get a demo of XV for it?

Ergo… Type-0 was downgraded from a game to be just a tool. Just a bait.

And no it was used as a smoke screen. FF XV is their flagship, if it was near to be released they would shout as loud as they can “PEOPLE NEXT YEAR WE ARE GOING TO RELEASE MEGATON”

    And they didn’t do it.

Ehh… it is bad when you are always right :P (I’m kidding :P)

I thought that you might want to know.

Tabata said “game is being complete in 55%”

EDIT: or no wait… after all it might have been poor translation of interview on news site I’m following. Still can’t find the proper source :/

So yeah, atm ignore this reply :P

EDIT2: nope after all I was right :P
“On FF XV’s Progress: In terms of development, about 50 to 60 percent of the game is complete. We kind of started from the beginning of the game, so the first part is more complete than the others. ”
