Square Enix has filed a trademark for what could be a new Parasite Eve game, or re-release of some kind.
The new trademark is for the phrase “Symbiogenesis,” which is the evolutionary theory of two separate organisms combining to form a new, singular organism.
This is the main concept behind the entire series’ main plot, which started as a novel back in 1995 and was later adapted to the video games.
