Square Enix has confirmed that a new Dragon Quest Monsters game is in development at the company.

Longtime series producer Taichi Inuzuka confirmed the game’s existence during the “Dragon Quest Summer Festival” event that went down in Shibuya, this past Saturday. Unfortunately, the game’s release date and development platform were not confirmed.

It’s worth noting that both previous Dragon Quest Monsters games were published on the Nintendo 3DS.
