Square Enix has announced (via Games Talk) some unfortunate news – they’re ending their Dive In game-streaming platform.
The service will be shutting down on September 13th. While the service has been only up for a year, it has since allowed the playing of games like Final Fantasy XIII via Wi-Fi streaming.
If you actually purchased a one year plan for any game on the service, Square Enix will be refunding you, regardless of what time is left.
Square Enix made a point in saying they’ll still pursue cloud technology, via their ominous new company, Shinra Technologies.
