Square Enix have announced their schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2021; including Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy. 

The Tokyo Game Show 2021 begins September 30th at 6:00 p.m. JST (2:00 a.m. PT, 5:00 a.m. ET); with presentations by Xbox, Konami, Capcom, and Square Enix.

The schedule for Square Enix’ three days of presentation will feature Forspoken, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, The SaGa series, Dragon Quest X, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Chocobo GP, Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, NieR Re[in]carnation, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, Dragon Quest X Offline, and Final Fantasy XIV.

The line-up noticeably has no mention of Final Fantasy XVI. Producer Naoki Yoshida had previously hinted at the pressure to present something for Tokyo Game Show 2021 as deadlines loom, and joked about having nothing to show.

“We definitely want to show it, but isn’t it better if when we do, you can play it right after?” He also stated he hated stringing fans along with small pieces of information. It may be that there will be a new trailer or information shown as a surprise. Other surprise announcements cannot be ruled out either.
