Spyro Series Composer Stewart Copeland Returns for Spyro Reignited Trilogy, New Gameplay and Screenshots

Activision and Toys For Bob have announced Spyro franchise composer Stewart Copeland (drummer for The Police) is returning to work on Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

The talented musician has composed a new main theme for the game, which they unveiled at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, titled “Tiger Train.”

Players will also be able to switch between the original musical score, as well as the newly remastered version, all within the in-game menu. Here’s a preview of what the original and newly remastered music sounds like, alongside the menu switching:

Spyro is back and bringing the heat in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy game collection. Now fans can rekindle the fire with the beloved video game icon like never before in the original three games that ignited a phenomenon, Spyro the DragonSpyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Featuring the same sick burns, same smoldering attitude and now all scaled up in stunning HD, players will enjoy this classic platformer that’s loaded with an incredible amount of new detail and improved graphics like it’s the first time. Also, Stewart Copeland (The Police), the original composer of the Spyro franchise soundtrack, is back with new music for fans of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy! The new track, “Tiger Train,” reprises recognizable music motifs from the first three games into a memorable, orchestral-rock journey through Stewart’s favorite themes from the original tunes that both existing and new players alike will enjoy.

In Spyro Reignited Trilogy, gliding through the sky and flaring up bad guys is more fun on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, and the family of Xbox One devices from Microsoft, including the Xbox One X. Spyro Reignited Trilogy launches on September 21, just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beloved purple dragon.
