THQ Nordic have released trailers showing SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated‘s multiplayer, and the Rock Bottom level.
As stated in the press release (via Games Press), the new multiplayer mode exclusive to the remake also brings back the cut boss Robo-Squidward. Up to two players online or in couch co-op fight off against hordes of robots across 26 islands.
Players can also pick from 7 characters (Spongebob, Sandy, Plankton, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Patrick, and Gary), all with their own unique attacks.
In addition, a trailer focusing on the Rock Bottom locale was revealed. Deep in an ocean trench, the area does not get much light, or visitors. Most steer clear of it anyway, due to the creepy residence and generally weirdness of the whole place.
