Nintendo has announced Spatoon 3 launches in summer 2022, alongside new gameplay footage of the shooter.

While Splatoon 3 launches in summer 2022, in-game footage was shown of the co-op mode.

Titled Salmon Run: Next Wave, the footage showcases a wave-based arena battle where salmon use a variety of weapons and stage hazards. A combination of weapon types and platforming puzzles were showcased, as was a mysterious giant fish creature that has never been seen before.

Enter the Splatlands, a sun-scorched desert inhabited by battle-hardened Inklings and Octolings. Splatsville, the city of chaos, is the adrenaline-fueled heart of this dusty wasteland.

Even in this desolate environment, Turf War* reigns supreme and battles rage in new stages located in the surrounding wilds.
