Nintendo have announced multiplayer squidling third person inker Splatoon 3 during today’s Nintendo Direct.
As stated in the press release and on Twitter, players will head to the desert Splatlands and the “City of Chaos” Splatsville. Along with the returning 4v4 Turf War matches, players will have new weapons such as the bow, new customization options (including a small Salmonid friend called a Smallfry), and new movement abilities.
The new movement abilities include a spinning dolphin-like leap out of ink (the Ink Roll) and letting players quickly climb up ink-covered walls and jump out when they reach the top (the Ink Climb).
The aforementioned Bow is capable of shooting three strings of ink at once. New special weapons appear to be a robotic crab, and miniature Killer Wail speakers. Several classic main weapons will be returning; compete with a new design.
