Gears Tactics developer Splash Damage is making an original sci-fi game, to which they’re hiring a bunch of new staff – the developer announced today.
“We’ve loved working with established IPs like Wolfenstein, Gears of War, and Halo over our 20-year history, but we’re eager to create another world of our own like Brink, Outcasters, and Dirty Bomb,” the developer said in the announcement.
They added, “Why are we announcing without a title? Well, this is a unique opportunity to join us, and to have a major impact on our next IP, and help shape the future of the studio.”
Here’s all of the new jobs they’re hiring for:
- Animation Programmer
- Art Director
- Design Director
- Development Director
- Lead Character Artist
- Lead Graphics Programmer
- Lead Level Designer
- Lead Lighting Artist
- Lead Online Services Programmer
- Lead UI Artist
- Senior Materials Artist
- Senior Technical Artist
- Systems Programmer
- Technical Animator
- Tools Programmer
While Splash Damage is making an original sci-fi game, further details like development platforms, a release window, and more haven’t been confirmed. Only the above concept art was shared with today’s announcement.
Gears Tactics has been available for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, as well as Xbox Game Pass – we did a thorough review on the game as well (we recommend it!).
We’ll keep you guys posted.
