Publisher XD and indie developer MAICHA announced an early access release date for Spirit X Strike, their new third-person action game inspired by classics like God Hand.
Spirit X Strike will launch for Windows PC (via Steam) in early access this month, on June 20th. A price is set at $12.99 and the game will be 10% for its first two weeks. Language support includes: English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and Portuguese, with more localization planned.
Here’s a rundown on the previously announced game, plus a new trailer:
Set in a gritty, post-apocalyptic world inspired by classic anime like Fist of the North Star, Spirit X Strike invites players into a universe where style is just as important as strength. Join Carter on his journey to find his missing Master, utilizing his Spirit Strike Martial Art skills in the stylish wasteland. With razor-sharp responsiveness and explosive visual flair, the game delivers a combat experience as intense as it is expressive.
At launch, the Early Access version will feature six stages and six boss battles. These levels are packed with enemy variety, unique terrains, and escalating challenges that reward aggressive experimentation and replayability.
Players can test their skills across four carefully balanced difficulty modes, making the game accessible to newcomers while offering a fierce challenge to action game veterans. The highest difficulty level can only be unlocked after beating the game, which will feature entirely new and more unforgiving enemy combinations that will constantly test players to adapt and choose their priority.
A standout feature of Spirit X Strike is its three distinct combat styles, which players can switch between at any moment. Each style introduces a different tempo, technique, and combo potential, encouraging experimentation and strategic adaptation mid-fight.
The Early Access release is just the beginning. The team is committed to frequent content updates, community-driven feedback loops, and ongoing polish as Spirit X Strike evolves toward full release.
