Setting the current world record before the game is even out here in the states, speedrunner Jung Ho Min has already smashed his way through Dark Souls 3 with an incredible time of 1:42:10. This is also the official current world record time for completing Dark Souls 3, wiping out the previously held time of 1:56:10 that was, interestingly enough, also set by Jung Ho Min.

Also increasing everyone’s jealousy and making them even more anxious to play would be the live-streaming that Distortion2 is doing, with his own best time for Dark Souls 3 sitting at 1:43:11. It’s highly likely that before the day is through, the current record will have been surpassed.

Dark Souls 3 makes its worldwide release this upcoming April 12th.
