Digital Extremes have announced their next game Soulframe, and it looks like a cross between Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke and their long-running MMO, Warframe.

Soulframe is being made to recapture and take inspiration from childhood favorites of Digital Extremes’ team, which include classics like Never Ending Story and of course – Hayao Miyazaki’s iconic Princess Mononoke.

Here’s the cinematic reveal trailer:

While the game is in early development, its official website features an interactive puzzle that eventually gives players the option to subscribe for updates, information, and more on their new game. Potential players can also “declare their Envoy” to reserve their in-game character name.
