We’ve known that Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is coming to both North America and Europe, but we haven’t had confirmation of whether or not the game would get a full retail release in either territories.
This is unfortunate news for our European readers, but in a response by Sony’s own Shuhei Yoshida to a fan on Twitter, we’ve learned the title is probably going to be a digital only release in that region. This was in response to a fan posing the question:
“So OreShika and Freedom Wars will be digital only in EU, why does Sony treat its customers like this? You said these were big titles.”
After which, Yoshida responded with the flat out remark that each of the aforementioned titles are indeed big releases:
“these are big titles indeed”
For those who missed our previous report, Freedom Wars is confirmed to be a digital only title in those countries.
Twitter user Kuroko-sama continued with a plea to Yoshida, begging for a limited print run, at the very least:
“Then why don’t you support them with a proper retail release? Not everyone is able to download big games, at least print a limited run”
Lastly, Yoshida responded with the final and yet disappointing comment that fans should just deal with it:
“hope people will find a way to download these titles”
So, to our European readers and fans – are you disappointed at this prospect?
