Sony seems to have just stolen the show at the Consumer Electronics Show in their reveal of Playstation Now. The new streaming service lets you stream Playstation One, Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 games across not just the Playstation 4 and Vita, but also smartphones, tablets and even televisions, like the Sony Bravia line of TVs.

Although the launch library was confirmed to be limited, it would include the highly acclaimed The Last of Us, Naughty Dog’s blockbuster and award winning game that launched in June of last year. No longer will you have to keep your other systems stacked next to your Playstation 3 or 4, now you’ll be able to just stream them.

In the press release also published by Sony, they revealed that Playstation Now comes in two payment options:

“PS Now will offer choice to gamers with how they want to access content. Gamers can rent by title for specific games they are interested in, or they can choose a subscription that delivers additional value with the ability to explore and play many games available across a wide variety of genres.”

They also confirmed some pretty awesome details regarding extra features of certain games, like online multiplayer and trophies:

In addition, the service will support many popular PSN features such as online multi-player, Trophies, and messages.”

A beta is scheduled to launch sometime later this month, and a full roll-out of the service is planned for this summer. This is certainly exciting news, it seems like Sony wants their games to be stream-able across literally every electronic you own that has a screen.
