Sony Computer Entertainment’s London Studio is apparently working on a brand new project for the company’s tantalizing and newly revealed virtual reality headset, tentatively titled Project Morpheus. Word of this new game came by our attention when a job posting was published by SCEE, in which they’re looking for a Sound Designer:
The WWS Creative Services Group (CSG) is a centralised resource providing sound, music, programming, video, motion graphics and graphic design services to Sony’s Worldwide Studios.
We are looking for an experienced Sound Designer to work with CSG’s London audio team on a project for Project Morpheus. The position is in-house, based at SCEEs London Studio.
The job posting also makes a clear nod to the potential candidate having the task of creating “high quality audio content” for the project. Aside from this, AAA game development background and experience with Unity were also put on the list of qualifiers, pointing to the game being developed within Unity 3D.
SCE London Studio already wowed the press at the Game Developers Conference with their Project Morpheus tech demo, The Deep. We’ll keep you guys posted.
