Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced they’re shutting down PlayStation Vue.

The media and television streaming platform will be shutting down on January 30th, 2020.

“The highly competitive Pay TV industry, with expensive content and network deals, has been slower to change than we expected. Because of this, we have decided to remain focused on our core gaming business,” said Sony Interactive Entertainment deputy president John Kodera.

Users that bought content through the platform will be able to still access their content through the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store via their partnerships with “top entertainment apps.”
