Sony Interactive Entertainment is shutting down Concrete Genie developer PixelOpus next month.

The indie internal studio is getting shut down on June 2nd. The news of their closure was first announced via a tweet from PixelOpus where they said their “adventure has come to an end.”

Following their 2014 game Entwined and their 2019 game Concrete Genie, the last thing we knew they were actually working on was a PS5 game in Unreal Engine 5, with Sony Pictures Animation.

“PlayStation Studios regularly evaluates its portfolio and the status of studio projects to ensure they meet the organization’s short and long-term strategic objectives,” Sony said in a statement (via IGN). “As part of a recent review process, it has been decided that PixelOpus will close on June 2.”
