Not letting Microsoft steal all the thunder in buying up every game developer in sight, Sony is reportedly looking to acquire more game developers as well.
The news comes via an interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan and Nikkei (via Hachima), where the Sony boss noted they’re looking to acquire game development companies, after Google has entered the games industry. “Content is more important than ever,” Ryan said.
“Developers new to the industry that are looking at the market with enthusiasm is something we certainly welcome,” he said. Ryan added, “Sony Interactive Entertainment has been in the game industry for 25 years, and we have big assets.”
