Despite Housemarque teasing a sequel to Dead Nation way back in September, nothing seemed to of come from that pretty blatant tease. There were rumors of a sequel to Dead Nation being proposed to Sony and subsequently being cancelled or shot down, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now.

In a find by JunkieMonkeys, it seems that Sony is finally cementing something new with Dead Nation, as they have filed a new trademark for the property. You can view the trademark below:

If you didn’t click the link in the first sentence, I suggest doing that now as there’s a teaser video in it that is definitely hinting at something new for Dead Nation.

To add further confusion to the matter, the image posted at the top of this article is one of many found by internet sleuth Superannuation, who said the works were part of a now possibly cancelled Dead Nation 2.

The only question now is – what could it be? A sequel, or just a port of the game to Playstation Vita? What do you guys think?
