It seems that despite Sony Corp. having financial woes in their non-gaming sectors, Sony Computer Entertainment is trucking along, and even being continuously generous towards indies.

They’re taking this up a notch, and SCE has confirmed that they’re footing the bill for all indies that are eligible to exhibit their games at the Tokyo Game Show Indie Game area.

Applicants can begin applying right now, and the ones who are lucky enough to be selected can show off their game within the Indie Game Area. Thanks to Sony’s new increased generosity, these devs merely need to show up and sell their game to patrons.

Before you guys start saying “Hey, there must be a catch! Sony must be rigging the polls so only Playstation games are selected,” this is not the case. Sony’s Global Third-Party Relations boss, Brad Douglas, pointed out that Sony has no say in which games are selected. This means even non-Playstation indies are going to be supported at the show!

“We don’t care if the game is on a PlayStation platform or not,” Douglas tweeted. “The more indie games, the better! Just bring cool stuff!”

This year’s Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 18th to the 21st.
