Sony Interactive Entertainment has named two joint CEOs as the head of their PlayStation division: Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino.
The company announced Hermen Hulst as the CEO of the new Studio Business Group – a branch responsible for overseeing all PlayStation game content alongside adapting their IPs to new media like film and television.
Hideaki Nishino is the new CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Platform Experience Group, where he will continue to be in charge of their hardware, technologym products, services, and overall platform experiences – as well as third party publishers, developers, and commercial operations.
Both joint CEOs will succeed now-retiring boss Jim Ryan as of June 1st, 2024. Hiroki Totoki, who has been serving as interim CEO of the branch since Ryan departed, will move into a position as Chairman of SIE alongside his role as President, COO, and CFO of Sony Corp at large. Both Nishino and Hulst will report to Totoki.
