• Sony announces PS5 price hike for Japan by 20%

    Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a price hike for PlayStation 5 consoles in Japan, citing the ongoing market instability and its effects on their business.

    The new price for the PS5 in the Japanese market will be 79,980 yen, a 20% increase from its previous suggested retail of 66,980 yen, a roughly 13,000 yen increase in price.

    Prices on the all-digital PS5 and all PlayStation 5 accessories – including PlayStation VR2 – are all increasing effective September 2nd. Get the full list here.
