While Sega has both a throwback and a modern Sonic the Hedgehog game coming, that hasn’t stopped passionate fans in their quest to constantly make their own Sonic games.
Now, a playable demo for what is being touted as Sonic Utopia has been making the rounds – it was even shared by one of the original creators of the blue hedgehog, Yuji Naka. Featured above, you can view a brand new trailer for the open world, full-3D Sonic game.
It’s worth mentioning the demo isn’t that much more than simply a prototype, or a proof of concept – still, it gets you wondering how Sega is approaching their new, modern Project Sonic title.
You can find the demo over on the official Sonic Fan Game HQ website.
