Sonic the Hedgehog Lego Set Announced

Sonic the Hedgehog Lego Set

Previously, Lego fans voted to get an official Sonic the Hedgehog Lego set approved. While they got enough votes, Lego and Sega have finally unveiled an official Sonic the Hedgehog Lego Set.

The official Lego-blocked Sonic the Hedgehog playset is now available for pre-order over on the Lego store, with a price point set at $69.99. As with other officially licensed Lego releases, this will likely be exclusive to the Lego store for some time before hitting other retailers like Amazon and Wal-Mart.

Fans can expect the official Sonic the Hedgehog Lego block set to include a number of nods to the classic platforming video game, from its landscape to its enemies and various power ups. Sonic himself is recreated with an official Lego body and posable limbs, and Dr. Robotnik is even realized with his flying machine and the chaos emeralds.

The spring platform reportedly has an actual spring in it so you can launch Sonic just like in the video game, however there unfortunately doesn’t seem to be a runner-track to shoot Sonic along the level and through the loop.
