Sega has announced the second season of the Netflix animated series, Sonic Prime, will be airing on July 13, 2023. This season comes just seven months after the initial release of the series back in late 2022.

The action-packed adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog go into overdrive when a run-in with Dr. Eggman results in a literal universe-shattering event. Desperate to piece his prime reality back together and save his old friends, Sonic races through the Shatterverse, discovering strange worlds and enlisting new friends in an epic adventure of a lifetime!

Sonic Prime isn’t the only television series based on the popular franchise. Thanks to the success of the live-action films, it has also been announced there will be a live-action series staring Knuckles. Where Idris Elba, who voices the character in the films, will be reprising his role.

That series will airing via Paramount+. Meanwhile Sonic Prime season one is available for streaming through Netflix.
