Sega has announced Sonic Mania for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

The new game is developed by Christian Whitehead (known for the mobile ports of the classic Sonic games), as well as Sonic’s own Sonic Team. Featured above, you can view the game’s announcement trailer.

An entirely new game, players will be able to choose between Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. There’s also new zones, and a new drop dash ability. There will also be classic levels, however they will be reimagined.

Sonic Mania will release sometime in the spring of next year.
