Despite my own personal love for Sonic the Hedgehog, I knew many friends who really disliked his addition to the Super Smash Bros. franchise.

In a move that didn’t seem to surprise many, Nintendo has confirmed that Sonic the Hedgehog is indeed returning to the fray in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U.

He seems to retain the same attacks and movements, so we’ll see if the devs change up the things people disliked about him (like his broken final smash).
