Snowfall Expansion Announced for Cities: Skylines

Now that the east coast of the United States has been covered in snow, it’s only fitting that Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced a wintry expansion for Cities: Skylines.

The new expansion is dubbed simply “Snowfall,” and it brings with it new weather effects, a new winter map, and new city simulation options that are based on the expansion’s colder temperatures. Featured above, you can view the expansion’s reveal trailer.

As fans are probably expecting, there will be new public transportation options, new water-based heat systems, snowplows, and more.

It’s worth mentioning that Cities: Skylines owners are getting new cosmetic weather options (rain and fog) as part of a free update, however owners of the Snowfall expansion will get even more whenever that content update launches sometime later this year.
