SNK Playmore has announced the release date for The Last Blade 2 on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
The classic 2D fighting game will launch for both platforms on May 24th. The game is cross-buy, meaning if you buy it on one console, you get it on the other.
SNK Playmore also added cross-play and cross-save functionality, as well as online multiplayer – to compliment its standard local multiplayer. It’s also worth mentioning the game comes with bonus themes for both PS4 and PS Vita.

A truly innovative game system and unique gameplay mechanics!
First, you can select your favorite sword type between Power, Speed, and Extreme modes. Be sure to master the Repel mechanic to counter your opponent’s attacks, and when the right time comes activate Super Secret Slash, Hidden Secret Slash, and Enigma Frenzy Attack ultimate techniques in order to change the outcome of the battle.
Featuring cross play between PS4 and PS Vita!
Through its multiplayer and cross play features, players can now duel against each other between PS4 and/or PS Vita. Furthermore, save data can now be shared via cross save functionality!
Finally, SNK Playmore shared a unique piece of artwork from The Last Blade series artist Tonko, for a fighting game tournament in Japan. You can view that above.
