Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Goes Gold, Extended Challenge Mode Gameplay

Independent Polish developer CI Games have announced Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has gone gold.

This means the game’s development and code is finalized and ready to be put onto game discs, for distribution. The latest in their ongoing military shooter franchise will launch across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 25th, worldwide at both retail and digital storefronts.

“It’s the new beginning for Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise,” CI Games said of the new milestone. “We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world.”

To celebrate the new milestone, the developer has shared an extended look at the games Challenge Mode, which you can view above.

Here’s a rundown on the new gameplay, Side Ops, and challenge mode, via CI Games:

In the open-world setting new to Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, Side Ops are large side missions where players can move freely throughout the area, albeit avoiding enemies along the way. Watch the video to see a Side Ops mission in action with Challenge Mode added to it.

Long-time fans of the Sniper Ghost Warrior games have asked for a mode that will challenge even the best players, and Challenge Mode offers plenty of challenge. With a missing heads-up display (HUD), increased enemy perception, and enemy markers that disappear after using the surveillance drone, successfully completing missions in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will require a well-equipped arsenal of weaponry and plenty of gadgets and attachments to make it through undetected.

“Challenge Mode is one of my favorite features in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, because of how much importance it places on the skills of the player rather than relying on the game for help,” said Tomasz Pruski, senior level designer at CI Games. “A good example is when using the drone. It will tag the enemies, but once called back, players will need to rely on their memory to remember where the enemies are located inside the outpost. Precisely aimed headshots are also required, since enemies are more heavily armored on their body.”

Yeah. Thats what real fan of fps should try. Taking all enemies without any help will push us to the limits and we have to be quick, deadly and silent.

I agree with you. I played in a lot of games, where you can only run and shoot , in SGW3 you need to think, get information, wait for best time, and act. you can also run and shoot, but where will be fun ?

I’m glad they’ve decided to go with side missions. It means there will be few extrahours of playing, doesn’t it? :)

This is very important that the game is a challenge for te player. Of course I’m sure playing on low difficulty will be easy as hell, but for more expirienced players SGW3 might be great choice.

hahaha, really funny video ! I am sure that I gonna love this kind of gaming in SGW3, just for fun :)

I think that there will be one more mode even harder than challenge. There’s supposed to be normal, challenge and realistic mode. The last one is supposed to be almost impossible to play :P

I’ve seen this awesome 45 min gameplay and the game looks very well. I love the fact that the same mission in a different gameplay was played in a completely different style. Grab some popcorn and watch it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lDHono9WVA

Those players, who dont like easy solutions will be in a heaven. Like you said, this can be a good game for more hardcored players.

There is no fun…well, except situation,. where our plan gose bad and we must improvise:)

I grab and watch. But only popcorn? Do you have something else to offer?;) By the way, have you read the trophy list of SGW3?

It’s awesome that the driving mechanics in SGW 3 are well designed. Also it looks really cool when you drive over your enemies :D check this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kp5-9LBG_3U

Oh yeah and you’ll also have the realistic mode. It’s going to be even harder than challenge mode. I can’t wait to play it for myself

I really liked the Georgian folk music during beta tests and I have just found a complete soundtrack. There is no folk music but it’s still pretty cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-6Ax_ENEU8

Oh man and the slow motion bullet takes look so cool in this gameplay. I’d love me to see some more of that in the final game

    April 11, 2017 at 1:53 pm

Well, I think that realistic mode will be the most interesting challenge ! I will surely try this mode, after many hours of sniping of course ;P

Agree, slow motion headshot animation looks very good, much better than “xray” animations in SE4

    April 11, 2017 at 7:19 pm

Oh yeah I think that it’s reasonable to play challenge mode first and maybe when you’re replaying the game you can try the realistic mode. If it’s going to be as hard as they are saying of course.

Haha unfortunately I don’t have anything else :) I have not seen any info about the trophies. Could you please provide a link here?

In this realistic mode we must be sure to take some pills before playing. I dont want to harm anybody or destroy anything around me:) Sometimes im just getting littlebit to nervous when im too much into game. xD

Nice playing guys. It reminds me some old times. How you think: to change them instruments into a weapon will make them a good soldiers?:)))

Slowmos rules in many games. I don’t know why, but in sniper games these feature is one of the most polished one.

I agree, I have played many games involving side missions and I always liked it. I hope they will be good in SGW3 as well.

That’s what I wanted to know. MP will be there, but not 25th April. I don’t mind, I was going to play SP first anyway.

Are you sure this is the real soundtrack? Sounds great, but it’s nt CIG who shred it on yt, maybe it’s another stupid joke?

Probably the best gameplay from Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 so far. his guys shows everything I want to know about this game.

  30. Robert
    April 16, 2017 at 3:40 pm

OMG, this is hilarious :D I think this “refusing to snipe” style should be actually one of the official playing styles in a game :)

  31. Maldy
    April 16, 2017 at 4:47 pm

It’s cool that you will be able to change the difficulty in game. You can try to play the game on challenge mode and when you feel ready you will be able to change it to realistic mode without having to replay the missions

It seems like the interviewer didn’t prepare himself ahead of time but I liked the interview @disqus_YO7RPvx2Mc:disqus I’d love to play MP mode on the release day :(

This is actually an awesome band. I really liked the song. Are you from Georgia or you have just found them on YT or something???

I do remember the gameplay you link here! It was so dark and creepy but I loved it – it really shows the cruelty of war…

WOW man I missed the new trailer so I am glad that you’ve posted it here! I can’t wait to play the game already but it’s always nice to watch a new trailer!

  37. Clamp

Trailers can’t be just serious, they need humor as well. I liked that idea and how it is done.

  38. Gounder
    April 19, 2017 at 5:28 pm

I am going to play the medium difficulty anyway. I ain’t a hardcore gamer and I’d like to have fun playing it instead trying to stay alive all the time

  39. Gounder
    April 19, 2017 at 5:31 pm

I think it’s beacause sniping games are mostly about long distance shooting and the slow motion shots add a bit of action to a slow paced gameplay

  40. Gounder
    April 19, 2017 at 5:32 pm

This is so cool. I mean the game is not your next CoD but it’s a hardcore war game that shows the war for what it is

  41. DannyB
    April 19, 2017 at 8:24 pm

It’s in fact posted by a random YT guy but the track list is the same as in the game I am certain that you will hear those songs in the final game

    April 19, 2017 at 8:24 pm

Awesome! I think that I will get into Georgian folk after playing SGW 3. Has anyone found the Georgian OST?

  43. Fatty
    April 20, 2017 at 6:06 pm

I didn’t know about that man! That is so good to hear! I will try the realistic mode first bu something tells me that I’ll have to decrease the difficulty shortly after :P

  44. Fatty
    April 20, 2017 at 6:07 pm

I know what you mean. I on the other hand might get board when the games is a bit too easy. We will see about that

I don’t have the link here but you can look it up on google apps or iTunes. I am sure that it’s already available for purchase
