Chubby Pixel's Sleepin' Guy aka Suicide Guy Title

Chubby Pixel’s Sleepin’ Guy aka Suicide Guy is coming to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

After previously releasing on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam, Chubby Pixel’s game is coming to Xbox. With its release on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox, the game has changed titles.

Originally known as Suicide Guy, the game will now launch as Sleepin’ Guy. Sleepin’ Guy Deluxe Edition will release on Xbox on December 3rd, 2021. Fabio Ferrara the game’s developer has previously released the game Sleepin’ Deeply on Xbox. Sleepin’ Deeply and Sleepin’ Guy are part of “The Guy” series which involves fantasy dream puzzles.

The guy is once again stuck in a deep sleep, and it is up to you to solve a variety of puzzles in order to wake him up. Solve 31 puzzles in order to free Guy from his drunken state. These levels are physics based, and will have the player picking up items, throwing them to activate mechanisms, and occasionally burp along the way.

Chubby Pixel has stated that the game will challenge your mind with these brain teasers. The developers have taken inspiration from a variety of popular indie titles including Goat Simulator, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Untitled Goose Game, and Portal. Additionally, there are references to other titles such as Burger Time and Luigi’s Mansion. Prepare to fight, bite, and eat everything in your way, even a dragon.

Does a Name Change Matter?

At the moment, not much has been revealed about Sleepin’ Guy Deluxe Edition. So we will ultimately just have to wait until the game launches later this week. If you are a fan of puzzle games, does this game peak your interest? Does the name change for the game’s release make a difference or will it ultimately have no effect on how the community sees it?
