Publisher Autumn Games and developer Hidden Variable have announced Skullgirls 2nd Encore DLC character Black Dahlia as part of the game’s Season One Pass.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore DLC character Black Dahlia is the third addition in the game’s season pass, coming after the adorable second character, Umbrella. To date, Black Dahlia has only been an NPC in the Skullgirls games, a key figure in the Medici crime family. She is described as a cold-blooded assassin and killer, and is at least partially comprised of robotic parts like her right arm.

It’s worth reiterating Umbrella is the younger sister of the base game character Parasoul. Alongside the news of Black Dahlia finally becoming playable is a proper trailer for Umbrella, who is fully launching for the game sometime in early 2022. Players who own the game’s Season One Pass can try her out right now, however.

The Skullgirls Season One Pass will offer four additional characters in total, with the currently confirmed Annie of the Stars, Umbrella, today’s reveal with Black Dahlia, and a fourth unannounced character. Players also get a digital art compendium and a digital soundtrack with the Season One Pass.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore is currently available for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and smartphones – an Xbox One port was planned but has been “postponed indefinitely.”
