Ubisoft has announced a delay for Skull and Bones, their upcoming pirate game.
The new open-world piracy game was originally going to launch November 8, 2022, but now it has been pushed back to March 9, 2023.
In their new announcement for the delay, the team noted they’re looking to polish the game more – it doesn’t appear that there are any issues with development beyond that.
Skull and Bones has been on a tumultuous path during development. It was first announced back in 2017, but had its development rebooted some time in 2020. The team behind the creation of this game, Ubisoft Singapore, would also go through troubles after investigation on sexual harassment as well.
After a long wait, Ubisoft finally showed off gameplay earlier this year, along with the announcement of the original launch date.
Skull and Bones is now set to launch on March 9, 2023 across Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, the Ubisoft Store, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
