This week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation reveals some interesting tidbits for Sword Art Online: Lost Song.
Both Sinon and an adult-sized Yui are confirmed to be in the game, although it seems like Yui will be available in both her small fairy size, as well as her regular human form. Yui is depicted in the magazine in her white dress that you see in the first story arc of Sword Art Online.
Dengeki also mentions a Sky Capital Line, a base of operations for players where you can take advantage of the various establishments, a bar, inn, and—of course—the workshop and weapon store.
Sword Art Online: Lost Song takes place in the virtual world of ALfheim Online, specifically the Svart ALfheim continent.
The region is made from the stuff of legends, featuring numerous floating continents for you to explore. You won’t be able to freely explore between each of the bigger landmasses, apparently, as Dengeki mentions traveling between continents via portals.
Here’s the coolest part: Dengeki also confirmed that Sword Art Online: Lost Song will feature an online multiplayer component.
Up to four players will be able to adventure together via online cooperative play, with screenshots in the magazine revealing preset phrases being submitted into the party chat.
Finally, there were a few other small bits of information from Dengeki, specifically that dungeons will be made up of enemies and treasure (big surprise there) and that Sword Skills will be available from the get-go.
Sword Art Online: Lost Song is coming to both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on March 26th.
