THQ Nordic has announced Sine Mora EX for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The new and extended version of the horizontal shoot’em up will launch sometime this summer.
A collaborative work by Hungarian studio Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture, the game has a darker story including themes of enslavement, genocide, and war.
Famed anime creator Mahiro Maeda (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Escaflowne, etc) and pulp game developer Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda (No More Heroes, Let It Die, etc) both contributed to the game.
Sine Mora features a story mode, an arcade mode, and an interesting time mechanic that adds or subtracts time based on killing enemies or taking damage, which Suda previously called a “unique time-manipulation mechanic.”
Further details weren’t confirmed, however the game will be playable for the first time at this year’s PAX East, which runs from March 10th to the 12th.
