Stories Untold and Observation developer No Code, who are currently working on Silent Hill: Townfall, have rebranded under new name Screen Burn Interactive.
Founded back in 2015 as a two-person team, No Code has grown into a multi-disciplinary studio with numerous talent. As such, the original name is a relic of their past, so they’re changing things up.
“We’re not who we were in 2015,” said Jon McKellan, Founder and creative director in a press release. “We’ve grown and changed. For a start, we have coders now! So, we needed a name that instead reflects what’s always been at the heart of the games themselves: the imperfect feel of old technology and the lasting impact of a story that stays with you long after the credits roll.”
The new name is meant to capture the spirit of the “ghost of an image burned into an old CRT screen,” likening it to the memory of a great game forever in your mind.
