Sifu is getting a movie adaptation from John Wick writer

Sifu

It seems like Sloclap’s kung-fu revenge game Sifu isn’t slowing down, as we’ve learned a live action adaptation for the game is happening.

The new report (via Deadline) confirms a Sifu live-action film is happening with John Wick writer/creator Derek Kolstad penning its script. Production is being handled by Story Kitchen who are partnering with Sloclap to adapt the game into film.

Currently teased as “John Wick meets M. Night Shyamalan’s film Old,” it will follow the main premise of the game made by Sloclap: a tale of revenge where the protagonist seeks to avenge his mentor – only he resurrects every time he dies, aging himself every time.

Story Kitchen’s own Dmitri M. Johnson is co-producing alongside Kolstad, as well as Mike Goldberg, Dan Jevons and Timothy I. Stevenson. Jeff Ludwig is producing it alongside Story Kitchen.

Sifu has been available for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), Switch, PS4, and PS5. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review here.
