SHY anime adaptation officially announced

SHY

An anime adaptation of the manga series SHY by Bukimi Miki has been officially announced.

SHY is a superhero manga where most nations of the world have a superhero protecting them. The titular Shy is the hero of Japan who inherited the mantle despite still being in middle school. All heroes are equipped with Heart Conversion Bracelets which turn the power of their hearts into superhuman abilities.

The series is the breakout hit of creator Bukimi Miki who began the series back in 2019 and is serialized in Shonen Champion. The series has been picked up for English release by Yen Press and the first volume will go on sale on December 13.

You can check out the teaser trailer for SHY below.

Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she’ll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero!

The series is the latest project from studio 8bit whose prior work includes That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Encouragement of Climb, and more. A release date for the anime has yet to be announced.
