Shueisha Games have revealed the AMU project at BitSummit 2023, a new project focused on fostering new indie developers.
The new endeavor is a means for developers to pitch their ideas to them for a chance to have publishing and promotion support.
They’re also using this as a means to expand their services beyond Japan, with AMU being available worldwide. Those interested in pitching their game on their website here.
To make a pitch, developers are required to submit a game build, a game design document (GDD), and a pitch deck in order to be considered.
Here’s a list of what the service will provide:
- Development Support: Investment in development costs based on desired conditions / Provision of development equipment and software
- Promotion Support: Marketing activities from information release to release, collaboration with domestic and international media, PR outreach, media coverage, influencer engagement, community activities, participation in domestic and international game events, and more
- Unique Promotion Activities by Shueisha Group: Article placement in Shueisha media (Weekly Shonen Jump, V Jump, etc.), collaboration with Shueisha authors, creation of PR manga, and more
- Publishing Support: QA, localization, user testing, early access support, publishing, production of physical editions, platform porting, LQA, and more
