Yacht Club Games have announced the release date for Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase.

Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon launches Holiday 2021 as a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch.

As previously reported, Shovel Knight has been trapped in the titular Pocket Dungeon; and with the help of Puzzle Knight seeks to escape. As blocks fall from the top of the screen (enemies, dirt blocks, potions and more), Shovel Knight can bump into them.

All blocks of the same kind touching each other react in a chain when bumped. When Shovel Knight bumps into an enemy, they trade damage. So, the player should keep some potions lying around to heal up.

Players can also use items and equipment, along with playing as one of 10 playable characters. There is also a 2-player versus mode, and the game’s whole soundtrack is by Jake Kaufman.
