Bandai Namco has announced that a game adaptation of the popular Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga/anime is coming to smartphones.

While the show has just started airing a few weeks ago, the publisher is already capitalizing on this in the game Shokugeki no Soma: The Ultimate Recipe, which is set to launch some time later this year.

Featured below, the new teaser website doesn’t show us that much – but we do see a small screenshot of what appears to be gameplay. Bandai Namco also says the game is based off the manga, and its genre is “food war action.”

The free-to-play title will have micro-transactions, and while trying to pull anything out of that screenshot, we can probably assume it will be a rhythm game of some kind.

Shokugeki no Soma: The Ultimate Recipe is coming to both iPhone and Android devices. The game will be free-to-play with micro-transactions.
