A Nintendo Switch port of Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate has been confirmed for Japan.
During a stealthily released Nintendo Direct Mini today, Japan’s Nintendo Direct Mini had several games not shown in the western stream (specifically at 12:47).
Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate originally launched in 2010 for Nintendo DS, and later on PlayStation Vita in 2016. In Japan, the game is known as Mystery Dungeon Shiren of the Wind 5Plus Fortune Tower and Fate Dice (translation: Google Translate).
A subset of the Mystery Dungeon series with protagonist Shiren attempting to scale the Tower of Fortune. Those who reach the top are said to meet a god that can change his fate.
Gameplay involves randomized dungeons, and difficult challenges that demand using items you find to support you.
According to RPG Site, the game will be based on the PlayStation Vita port of the game, and include dungeons that were originally part of post-release content.
In addition, Spike Chunsoft will add a new original dungeon to the game, bringing the total dungeons to over 25.
While the game has no western release date confirmed, the game did recieve a western port on PlayStation Vita- the same version this new game will be based upon.
